To assess the situation and console with the victims, South West Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai, on Wednesday, February 04, 2015, visited the Buea Regional Hospital where some of the survivors are

Fans Interrupt Match As Equatorial Guinea Bows To Ghana 3-0

Posted on 00:13 by Elvin Fenii
What happened to the spirit of fair-play nah?
Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations semi-final against hosts Equatorial Guinea was halted for 30 minutes because of crowd trouble in Malabo.

Ghana fans massed behind a goal after 82 minutes of the game to seek refuge from missiles being thrown at them.
Bottles rained down as police battled to gain control, while a helicopter hovered over the stadium.

Riot Police protect players as they try to come off at half-time at the Estadio de Malabo

Play resumed for just three minutes as Ghana completed a 3-0 win to reach Sunday's final against Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars had taken a 2-0 lead into half-time, having opened the scoring when Jordan Ayew dispatched a penalty after Kwesi Appiah had been fouled by keeper Felipe Ovono.
They doubled their lead when Mubarak Wakaso drilled home following a counter-attack.
At the end of the first period, crowd unrest was already evident, with the Ghana players shielded by police in riot gear as they left the pitch.
Then, after Andre Ayew had tapped in Ghana's third on 75 minutes and with only eight minutes left, the focus turned to their fans, who left the stands to seek safety behind one of the goals.

Play was stopped as bottles continued to be thrown by the home supporters, littering the running track around the pitch. Chairs were also thrown after being ripped from the stands.
With Equatorial Guinea only stepping in as replacement hosts in November, there were plenty of concerns about preparations and security before the tournament began.
Two quarter-finals were then moved from Ebebiyin and Mongomo amid reported fears of potential crowd issues, although the Confederation of African Football blamed the poor state of the pitches.

When police moved in to try to restore order in Malabo, it took a considerable amount of time before the Ghana fans were safely escorted from the stadium.

There were doubts about the match resuming, with officials locked in discussions at the side of the pitch as the players remained on it.

Once the field was cleared of objects, the match restarted, only for the referee to bring the game to an end three minutes later.

Bobby Brown Facing Heart Breaking Decision on Turning Off Daughter'sLife-Support

Posted on 11:12 by Elvin Fenii
How Sad!!

Bobby Brown is reportedly facing the heartbreaking decision over whether to turn his daughter Bobbi Kristina's life support machine off.
The R&B singer, who has daughter Bobbi with late singer Whitney Houston, has been by his daughter's hospital bedside since the weekend, after she was found unresponsive in her bath at home, and later placed in a medically induced coma.
“It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it,” a source told FOX411.
They added: “They’ve left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive."
And according to TMZ, Bobby doesn't want to face the difficult decision until after the weekend, because he remains hopeful her condition will improve.

Bobbi Kristina moved to Emory University Hospital in Georgia

It couldn't come at a more difficult time, as today is Bobby's birthday, and next week marks the third anniversary of Whitney's death.
The 21-year-old remains fighting for her life in hospital days after she was discovered face down in water.
It follows reports she had shown a small response to tests on her brain - and family and friends are praying for her to pull through.
Whitney's friend Kelly Price asked for prayers for Bobbi at a tribute evening to the late singer last night.
Kelly opened the For the Love of R&B: A Tribute to Whitney Houston event in Hollywood by calling for people to send "love and well wishes" to the 21-year-old aspiring actress.
Kelly said: "Bobbi Kristina is in the hospital and her condition is very serious."I will say this one thing and this one thing only: Please continue to pray for her as she fights for her life. She is a young woman who deserves a chance to live and to thrive and experience the greatness that is inside of her and come into her own.Later in the show, Kelly and Faith Evans gave an emotional rendition of Heartbreak Hotel, which they originally sang with Whitney, who was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room in February 2012.

"I will ask you all to say a prayer. If prayer is not your thing, send love. Send your love and well wishes to the entire family."

Kelly told the crowd: "Speak well of Whitney Houston. She deserves that from us. Keep her family in your prayers. Keep Bobbi Kristina in your prayers, if anyone can do it god can."

Kelly - who hasn't seen Bobbi Kristina for over a year - revealed before the show she had been in contact with the troubled youngster's family and they welcomed people's prayers. She told Us Weekly: "As much as I can say, absolutely by their request, is that we want everybody to continue to pray.

"Bobbi Kris is fighting for her life. I dare not say much more than that but I do ask for people to pray, to respect their privacy and to remember that this is a young woman who lost her mother at 18 years old and was never given the opportunity to properly mourn her because there was always a camera in her face.

7 Things You Should Do To Feel Better Everyday

Posted on 10:06 by Elvin Fenii

Want to feel healthier and have lots of energy each day? There are a few essential things you should do to achieve this goal. You don’t have to make drastic changes in your lifestyle in order to improve your health. You can do it without actually noticing it. Still hesitate? Read on to find out 7 smart little things you should do to feel better every day.
1. Exercise

Probably the healthiest thing you can do to feel better each day is to exercise early in the morning. You don’t have to run the whole morning or spend a few hours in the gym. Even doing several easy exercises like walking, sit-ups or jumping the rope will help you feel better in no time! Plus, exercise is good for your health and waistline.

2. Get enough sleep

Again, due to our busy schedules, we don’t get enough sleep each night (I’m no exception!). It’s one of my worst habits I’m trying to break because I realize that lack of sleep kills my health. If you have trouble falling asleep, avoid watching TV or surfing the Internet right before bed. Also, try to make healthy bedtime snack choices and don’t drink tea or coffee too late in the day.

3. Drink 8 glasses of water

If you drink 3 glasses of water, 4 glasses of coffee or tea and a glass of soda each day and think that you drink enough water, think again. You body needs water (not coffee or soda!) to function properly. Aim to drink 7-8 glasses of water each day, and see how you feel. Not only will you feel better, you’ll become healthier as well.

4. Eat healthier

Perhaps it sounds obvious and even boring, but most of us make unhealthy food choices. You have busy schedules, lots of household chores and many other things to tackle every single day. It’s one of the reasons why you usually look for easier food choices, not healthier. However, eating healthy is not as difficult as you think. Once you start making smart food choices, you will never want to reach for that bag of potato chips or carton of your favorite ice cream. Sticking to a healthy diet will help boost your energy levels, improve your health and keep your weight under control.

5. Stay productive

When you are productive, you feel happier. When you feel happier, you feel better. And when you feel better, you can get more things done in a day. Stop watching TV, avoid gossips, and try to do more useful things during the day. Don’t forget to make you to-do list in the morning. It will help you stay organized and accomplish your tasks with less stress.
6. Get your vitamins
Vitamins play an essential role in keeping your body healthy, so make sure you get your vitamins each day. While the best way to get all essential vitamins in through your diet, you can also opt for a multivitamin. Before you take any multivitamin, you should consult your doctor to find out all of the vitamins your body need.
7. Stay positive

I’ve always believed that positivity is the key to a longer life. Positive thoughts can help boost your energy level and improve your overall health. Life is full of stressful situations and it’s hard to stay cheerful when everything goes wrong, but your positive attitude can help you solve any problem and fight any stress faster and easier. Your positive attitude is especially good for your heart health. Smile, stay positive and live a longer life!

There are many useful things we can do each day to feel better. It may take some efforts and time to make a habit of drinking 8 glasses of water daily or thinking more positively, but it’s well worth it. You will have more energy and health to achieve your goals and live your life to the fullest! What things do you do every day to feel better?

Bruce Jenner Transitioning Into a Woman: 'He Is Finally Happy'

Posted on 08:53 by Elvin Fenii

After months of speculation (a lot of it quite insensitive) about Bruce Jenner's changing appearance, the Olympic gold medal winner is getting ready to speak out about his transition.
"Bruce is transitioning to a woman," a source close to the Kardashian-Jenner family confirms to People. "He is finally happy, and his family is accepting of what he's doing. He's in such a great space."
Jenner has come out to friends and family and was apparently calm when he sat down with his kids to discuss his decision. "Bruce told them everything —where things stood and what his plans were for the future, what everyone could expect," says the family source. "Everyone basically knew what was up, but it was still a shock to hear it outlined so explicitly."

Bruce has six children from his three marriages: son Burt, 36, and daughter Casey, 34, from his first marriage to Chrystie Crownover; sons Brandon, 33, and Brody, 31, from his second marriage to actress Linda Thompson; and Kendall, 19, and Kylie, 17, from his most recent to Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner. Bruce also considers himself father to Kris's four children, Kourtney, 35, Kim, 34, Khloé, 30, and Rob, 27.

"The kids came around pretty quickly, but each of them had to process it in their own way," the insider continues. "They're trying to show him love and acceptance. All they want is for him to be happy."

The most shocked by Bruce's admission was reportedly Kris. "It's really a hard adjustment for her," shares a source in Bruce's inner circle. "Kris had the most difficult time in the family. She's looking back at their entire marriage, and a lot of things are suddenly making sense. She has had a lot to process."

"Kim went to Kris and asked her how she felt. They had a very long conversation about it," reveals the Kardashian insider. "Once Kim was satisfied that Kris was emotionally okay, she was able to give Bruce her unconditional support."As for the men in the Kardashian clan, apparently Scott Disick "didn't react very well" at first, but "is now on board." Meanwhile, Kanye is "totally fine with it. He believes in live and let live, and he took it all in stride. He and Kim are just trying to show Bruce love and acceptance — complete acceptance."

Bruce and Kris announced their separation in Oct. 2013 after 22 years of marriage, and in the months that followed Jenner's changing appearance became evident. He started to grow out his hair and had a laryngeal shave to minimize his Adam's apple.

"No one feels deceived by Bruce," emphasizes the family source. "He was going through this change slowly. It's not like he woke up one day and was like, 'Surprise!' He moved through his own feelings and his own changes at his own pace."

Some in Jenner's camp tell the magazine that they've known for years Bruce was struggling with his gender identity. Behind close doors "he dressed as a woman,"says a source. "It was always very closeted. He would have other people buy him [women's] clothes"

Sources tell People that Jenner remains attracted to women and hasn't shared whether he plans to change his name or have more surgery. "This is his story, and [his family] wants him to tell the world the way he wants… He's 65. That's a long time to keep something a secret." Sharing his truth has been like "laying down a bag of bricks… It's liberating. He's been through a dark period and is coming out on the other side."

Bruce will sit down with Diane Sawyer for an interview special that will air in May. Reportedly, filming will begin this week. He is also said to be taping a docu-series for E!, which is home to Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The Long List Of Cameroon National Football Team Coaches Since 1998

Posted on 07:28 by Elvin Fenii
Found this on  Cameroononline.org
The Cameroon national team manager job has been one with high turnover rate, characterized by the movement of managers in and out of appointment, usually following poor performance at a given competition. The last world cup was an exception to that rule. The current coach Volker Finke kept his job despite a disappointing performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Below is the list of managers who have been appointed as coach of the Cameroon football team in the last 15 years. It is rather likely that a new addition to that list may follow soon, after the recent disappointing performance of the ‘Indomitable Lions’ at the Africa cup of nations in Malabo.

Posted on 06:43 by Elvin Fenii

Harare (AFP) – Zimbabwe’s 90-year-old President Robert Mugabe fell down a staircase on Wednesday as he walked off a podium after addressing supporters at Harare international airport, an AFP correspondent said.Africa’s oldest leader, who turns 91 later this month, had concluded his homecoming speech when he tumbled to his knees on a short flight of stairs in an incident witnessed by journalists and hundreds of supporters. He had just returned from Ethiopia where he took over the rotating chairmanship of the African Union.
He was quickly helped up by aides and walked to a waiting car.The former liberation war hero is Africa’s third-longest serving leader.

He was met at the airport by a group of cheering supporters who raised placards with messages of support.“Your greatness resonates across Africa and beyond” read one card.
Mugabe took over the post of African Union chairman on Friday, replacing Mauritania’s President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz.
In his speech, Mugabe said he felt honoured that Zimbabwe was elected chair of the AU, pledging to use his position to push for development in the continent.
“We want real progress to be achieved to develop all our countries.”

“The AU must be the engine of development in Africa. We should be the engine of development in Africa,” Mugabe said.

He said “no African country” opposed Zimbabwe’s elevation to lead the organisation. The leader also used the opportunity to lambast Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyattafor appearing before the International Criminal Court (ICC), when the AU had advised him against it.

“I told him that you will make your father’s soul feel ashamed. We don’t want to hear that again.”

This Morgue Worker Sleeps With Corpses

Posted on 11:07 by Elvin Fenii

Wth!! There's no way this man isn't insane, is there?
An employee at a mortuary in Ghana has told how he had sex with dead women "many, many times" - claiming necrophilia is part of the job training.
The man claimed he worked in a morgue at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he says he had sex with the corpses, reported VibeGhana.com.
Sharkur Lucas revealed that he was unable to get women to go out with him because of his 'morbid' job - so he had sex with the dead instead.
"I wanted to marry but the girl says I am a mortuary man," he told Ghana television station Adom TV.
"I can satisfy myself [at the mortuary] because girls don't want to [date] me outside."

He also goes on to claim that he was asked to sleep with dead women by his superiors - because it was part of the training.

"That is some of the training when you study a mortuary job [...] I was asked to sleep with a dead body.
Morgue worker admits having sex with 100 corpses
"That is the training you have to do that, because once you have done that you will not be afraid of them again."
Since his interview, Lucas has been sacked by his employers and admits he is now being hunted by police - although he fails to see what he has done wrong.

But when the interviewer raised the question of mental health problems, Lucas dismissed the claims.
"I am OK, I am OK sir," he insisted.

Blog Visitor's View On Bobbi Kristina

Posted on 10:05 by Elvin Fenii

Dear anonymous Blog Visitor, I was so touched by your comments under the Bobbi Kristina Post, I decided to dedicate an entire post to it.
Your post is so uplifting, I hope our blog fam can read it and be inspired by it as I was.
Thank you dear bro/sis.
And thank all of you, dear blog fam,I can't begin to tell you how much I've learnt from your comments.
Here's the comment
The Love of Christ knows no boundaries. God loves us all. Irrespective of our choices. He knows the root of our problems.
I use to have that train of thought until I matured ( and continue maturing) in Christ.
I learned that this walk there is no stranger. I learned strangers can pray for you. Inspite gaining nothing from you.
It's a love that it's full of compassion. That you will understand why Lord said we should pray for our enemies. you able to see the revelation and dynamics.
Besides that I can relate to this girl. Fortunately am not in the limelight. But am an orphan. My enemies were shocked but the Lord gave me strength, Grace, favor, love, compassion and discernment. They got so pissed off they
stopped hiding and identified themselves in front of me.
Now that she able to access her trust being 21. yah!
Her mum was so full of Grace and that's why she was outstanding. Forget about the addictions. Those demons are stubborn and with the right support system you get out of it and not be surrounded by those who initial triggered it in the first place. I have been fortunate to watch a lot of shows regarding this family.
Those who are hard on others is because they don't believe Christ loves them. They are full of guilt, in their own challenges, they ve not forgiven themselves, not received Christ love. And thus repeat their actions. Besides people criticize what they are fighting. Same challenge different word. attack from the same perpetrator the devil. They rest on peoples opinions rather than the truth of the word of God. God loves you. That's why Christ has redeem us and died for us. No one is perfect to save themselves. Take the yoke of Christ.
God is not a hard task master. We think by calling out the fruit of people's problems that solves the problem. No Jesus only addressed the Pharasis and Sadducee's because they burden the people with laws they couldn't keep. Jesus healed, touched, addressed the outcast, some He said go and sin no more. Those words he never condemned. He healed and commanded with authority the demons out.
In short na only Holy Spirit fit reveal all this love so. Ask the Lord and He will reveal.
That child is in so much pain.
Peace and love.

Samuel Eto'o To Stay at Sampdoria Despite Training 'Walkout'

Posted on 10:58 by Elvin Fenii

Samuel Eto'o will stay at Sampdoria despite a reported training dispute with boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.
The Serb coach accused Eto'o of showing a "serious lack of respect" by missing an extra training session on Monday.
But a source close to the striker, who joined Sampdoria from Everton last Tuesday, told BBC Sport: "The incident was nothing to report."
The source also dismissed claims in Italy that Eto'o, 33, was threatening to leave the Serie A club.

"He can't leave anyway, because
he has played for two clubs this season, and you can't play for more than two in a season," he said.
Mihajlovic scheduled two training sessions for his players on Monday after Sunday's 5-1 Serie A defeat at Torino.
Eto'o - who appeared as a second-half substitute in that defeat - left after the morning session without speaking to the coach and did not return, according to Italian media.

"I don't know where he's gone and I don't know what the club intends to do," Mihajlovic told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"The only thing that is certain is that the player did not give me any explanation; I consider it to be a serious lack of respect to myself and the rest of the team.

"That's the only truth today, the rest is pure fantasy. There hasn't been a row with Eto'o, simply because you need two people to have an argument and he has done everything on his own.

"I haven't seen him since the morning training and haven't spoken to him either."

FCFA 21 Billion To Clean Up Yaounde Municipal Lake

Posted on 04:48 by Elvin Fenii

What should have been a thing of beauty and a tourist attraction, is more of an eye sore to Yaounde city dwellers, and visitors. Well, not for much longer, this because, the slimy green and smelly waters of the Yaounde Municipal Lake will soon be cleaned up.  The Head of State yesterday February 2, 2015, authorised the the Minister of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development to sign two separate loan agreements with the Deutsche Bank for the cleaning and development of the lake.
From Cameroon Tribune

The agreements have come with thunderous applause from officials of the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) piloting the project. Going by explanations, MINEPAT will sign a loan agreement with the London Branch of Deutsche Bank amounting to 27, 544, 454 euros (approximately FCFA 18 billion) to valorize and render the lake economically viable and a touristic-attractive. But since the project like other giant projects warrants counterpart funds, government has contracted a loan from the Spanish Branch of Deutsche Bank for complementary funding worth 5,272 002, 17 euros (about FCFA 3.5 billion). The first phase of the project will see the lake and its waters cleaned up. Phase two will see the construction of state-of-the-art structures like hotels, restaurants, landing space for water sports and recreational activities as well as library and commercial centres around the shores.
